Well my answer would be, I do! Not only do I care about what this hate monger says, I care about what the other hate mongers have been saying for a long time.

We seem to get all worked up, enraged and willing to take action when someone famous attacks people of color or disparages our candidate of choice (the Edwards fagot fiasco). Where is the rage and action when these hate mongers attack women?

You know what?  He is right!

To all of those righties, gloom and doomers and even some here that have been saying Air America was dead.. read below. If you think "news corp" (faux news and all) was profitable and had no problems in the beginning then you would be soooo WRONG!

Thom Hartmann has a piece at Huffington Post that is a MUST read concerning AAR. 

What we need is someone like Gore, Soros or someone who has a vision and deep pockets. After the upcoming elections and the 2008 elections, look for people to be running to AAR and away from the righties.  The heartland needs a new "heart" and it is not rush limpball.

I decided to take my comment to Mitch and make it into a blog entry.

Tell me one buisness, especially in a new field (this is a new way of pushing progressive radio) that has not struggled in the first few years.

We do not have the luxury of waiting for individual stations and owners to pick up the few syndicated progressive shows. Most of the owners are righties and we needed to make a big splash and a big push. This is what they did.

Yes.. they could have had better planning and more money.

There are many buisnesses out there now that are working through bankruptcies and are not failing. Before we had the bankruptcy laws changed on us, individuals could use this tool to get back on their feet when they had problems, this did not make them failures.

Michael Shea's movie Red State is a fabulous look inside the minds and hearts of the "red state voter" (I have seen it). He has been making the rounds of Local Progressive Talk radio, so check and see if he will be coming your way and if not ask him, he is very responsive to email (I know this from personal experiance).
