Calling all Clarkies! We have seven days before we change the country for the better, but we need your help now, and all this next week, to do that. WesPAC needs you to volunteer some time to phone bank for the candidates listed below. We'll be adding more candidates in the days to come too. Whether you can make 10 calls or 100 calls or more - every call counts!
Please contact the state coordintors listed below each candidate, and they will get you set up to phone bank. Thank you for everything you're doing to help General Clark and WesPAC get Democrats elected on November 7th!

We all have our 2004 Clark-OH lists somewhere. And some may be a bit dusty. But I think WE can make a HUGE DIFFERENCE getting Jennifer to WIN the OH Dem Primary against (yawner old white guy & ODP "endorsed" candidate) Lt Guv Lee Fisher.
We haven't much time. Primaries are May 4th.
(yes the 40th Anniversary of Kent State)

HELP: WE NEED A NEW LAW
Submitted by Dave4Clark on February 23, 2010 - 6:15pm.
Election Reform

Calling on Clark. Wes please stand up for us!
We need to change something important. We need a law that says only individuals can donate to campaigns. Only individuals have the right to free speech in the form of donations. A company is not a person. People have the right to vote not companies. We need real change for once.
Doing this would actually level the playing field for elections and make things more honest on the hill. It would not cost anything to do this and we would all benefit immensely.
We'll follow the Old Man! acknowledging the value of being a Clarkie

Wow, it's remarkable that Obama prevailed last night by having made maximum use of the internet for attracting contributors and volunteers. Far more powerful than Howard Dean, and that was no small feat. Gov. Dean's 50-state strategy both two years ago and now are among the prized results of "netroots rising".

"...now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country..."
I've typed that a million times - like many of you, probably - while practicing typing skills, under my mom's tutelage. I've always liked that it ended with "country", and not the original wording of the phrase, which is "party."

Fwd today from a friend at W & M:
In Larry King's interview with William & Mary's alumnus Jon Stewart, Larry asked him about the Presidential Primaries...
Jon's answer needs to be shared:
Larry asked Jon if America was ready for a woman or a black president?
Jon looked at him quizzically and said: 'This is such a non-question ... Did anyone ask us in 2000 if Americans were ready for a Moron?'

Election Reform

For your reading pleasure while the voting is happening. Let's hope the current Supreme Court decision on voter ID doesn't disenfranchise many voters today. It is probably the truth, however, that the refusal of Mortimor Jeffries' ballot was because of the person he had voted for (Lincoln) and not because of his perceived racial ancestry.
This is a real story; it's been a part of my family history forever. While some of the details I grew up with are fictional, the basic story is the same. And is part of the state's legal history.
