Commemorative Medal of the Minister of Defense of the Slovak Republic First Class
During his visit to Slovakia in March of 2000, General Clark met with the Chief of Staff of the Slovak Army General Milan Cerovsky and Defense Minister Pavol Kanis.
The main themes of their talks were post-election developments in Austria, the situation in the Balkans, and the modernization and reform of the Slovak armed forces.
Slovak Defense Minister Pavol Kanis decorated General Clark with a Commemorative Medal of the Slovak Defense Ministry of the First Degree, the highest ministerial award.
General Clark also met with Slovak Prime Minister Mikulas Dzurinda and Foreign Affairs Minister Eduard Kukan.
