The Medalha de Mérito Militar (Grand Cross of the Medal of Military Merit)

The Medalha de Mérito Militar (Grand Cross of the Medal of Military Merit) is awarded to soldiers who exhibit exceptional qualities and military virtues that are worthy of public respect and consideration.

The award consists of five classes: Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer, and Medal.

General Clark was awarded the highest level of “Grand Cross” in March of 2000.
